School Groups

The Beacon offers a superb location for residential school trips. We have a highly motivated, safety conscious and well trained team to deliver your programme. Most schools when they visit have exclusive use of our facilities during their stay which means that we are able to work closely with you to design a tailor-made programme to exactly meet you needs.

We have a wide range of activities which will excite, challenge and encourage the youngsters to work better as a team and have a greater awareness of each others needs.

Outdoor Education

Using our superb location as a vehicle to encourage a greater awareness of the beauty and variety of the natural environment, our aim is to deliver elements of the National Curriculum in an innovative and interesting way.

We have recently renovated a network of ponds which offer an exciting habitat for pond dipping and bug hunts.

We are keen to involve youngsters in a hands-on exploration of the natural world around them and to facilitate this can offer the following:

• Bat and Badger Walks
• Beach Art
• Pond Dipping
• Nature Museum
• Live Mammal Trapping
• Moth Trapping
• Night walks
• Bonfires on the beach etc

Accomodation:

The bedrooms are modern and well appointed and sleep up to a maximum of four. We can accommodate upto 41 guests in bedrooms for 2, 4 or 2 single rooms.
