Facilities

The Beacon has been built on the site of a former dairy barn complex and the original beams are an integral part of the new construction.

The Beacon is finished to a very high standard to produce a welcoming and attractive environment for our guests.

Facilities include:

41 Beds: We have 41 beds in a combination of rooms that sleep either two or four people and 2 single rooms.
Fully Catered: We have our own Kitchen and a chef whose vision is to provide wholesome,appetising and healthy meals for all our guests whatever their ages.
IT Suite: A dedicated computer room with Broadband Internet access, diary keeping and small group research activities.

Teaching Room: Within the centre itself,a light and spacious teaching room is available for classroom sessions, workshops and meetings,with a television, video and DVD player on hand if you need them.
Indoor Sports Hall: An excellent all-weather facility for football, volleyball, basketball, badminton and other games. The sports hall is also the venue for our archery sessions.

Tennis courts and outdoor sports field: Two outdoor tennis courts are available next to the centre and there is a purpose built grass playing area, suitable for football and other games.
Provision for guests with disabilities: The Beacon offers wheelchair access to first floor bedrooms, and all main areas. There is a fully accessible bathroom and shower. In our programme we aim to involve every guest in as much as they feel able to take part in, whatever their physical disability.
